Hey ladies and gents. Yes, it is that time of where one year closes and another years is ushered in. I'm sure many of you have read these type of New Year's posts on other people's blogs already, yadda yadda yadda... WHO CARES! Just playin.
Anyway, I like to say that I can't believe another year has come and is soon about to go. Hell, it's hard trying to remember what happened in January of this year. LOL. Let me take that back, I know what I was doing in January. I was working, earning a decent check every week. Sure was nice. I pray that I get a job and stayed employed for a long time. I know I can't wait to get my tax return stuff in the mail, because Uncle Sam owes me some money... big time.
One thing that was great about this year is the fact that Barack Obama is our new president as of January 20th (lovely). That man has fought long and hard to get to where he is right now. I must admit, Hillary Clinton gave him stiff competition, but in the end of the primary election, he came out on top. I know there were alot of Clinton supporters (mainly women for the most part), but change was needed, and that's what we got. I never seen so many people go out and vote and stand behind this man in all my life. I may be only 28 years of age, but I'm so glad that in my lil lifetime (and that of my children), we were able to witness history take place. Four generations of my family were able to see history take place. My grandparents grew up in the South during the Jim Crow era. Had another generation lived, that would have been post Civil War era, real talk. And I know they didn't think that Barack Obama would have become our first African-American president of this country. Too bad I couldn't be in DC for the inauguration. Such is life.
Anywho, to all my followers out there in cyberland: BE BLESSED, MAY '09 BRING SUCCESS, HAPPINESS, AND ALL THAT OTHER ISH TO YOU. LOL. To those whom aren't followers of my blog and read this: MAY THIS NEW SEASON OF CHANGE BRING A CHANGE IN YOUR THOUGHTS, FEELINGS, MINDSET AND SENSE OF HUMANITY TO ONE ANOTHER. IT'S TIME WE SQUASH ALL THIS HATRED AND STRIFE TOWARD ONE ANOTHER. THIS IS THE 21ST CENTURY. WE SHOULD ALL BE BETTER THAN THAT.

I know evrybody's on a "Happy New Year" and "it's time for change" tip and it's kind of cool. I'm going to try to ride this wave of positivity until the wheels fall off. lol HAPPY NEW YEAR!
