Hello ladies and gents. Today, I have a topic that is one of my pet peeves. I want to talk to y'all about people with the "Handout Mentality".

When I say a person has a "Handout Mentality", I'm saying that they think that everything FREE has to be handed to them on a silver platter. Also, with that same mentality, they figure they don't have to do shit and get things they didn't earn. Prime example: women who go out and have several million children by several million guys, and won't go out and get a job. So, she goes on welfare collecting any kind of money she can get her hands on. Another example is a person who just simply won't do shit. It don't matter how old or young they are, they are flat out lazy. Will lie, steal and cheat to "earn" what he has. Then, will have the nerve to tell someone else to go get it, because everybody else of other races are doing it.

First, I'm a person who feels that people should work hard to get the things they want and need in life, and living off the system or deceiving people to get it ain't gonna work. I know I'm gonna catch some backlash in what I'm about to say, but I might as well say it. Just because Juanita is on welfare with six kids, doesn't mean I want to be on welfare, too (children or none). I nor my children want to live substandard for the rest of our lives, because someone else is getting things for 'FREE'. And in my honest opinion, ain't shit in this life or the next one free! And if it does come that way, somewhere along the line there's a price to pay for it. So technically no, that is not free. That's pretty much considered the Barter System: I did something for you for this reason, therefore you gotta give some type of collateral in exchange of what I did for you.

I'm sick of a number of Black people who are always wanting a handout for shit they didn't deserve or earn. No matter what the circumstance, the minute we always want something free and plopped in our laps, we are automatically considered lazy and trifling. There's always some type of backlash of us wanting a handout. And for those of us that do think we deserve a handout, to me that shows that you will forever be stuck with a "Handout Mentality". Just like OutKast said it best: "You need to get up, get out and get something". If you don't want the rest of the world thinking you are some lazy ass whose only good for producing and collecting a check when you didn't earn it, GET A FUCKIN JOB. BETTER THAN THAT, GET A CAREER. IF YOU FEEL YOU DESERVE THE DREAM LIFE, GO OUT AND EARN THAT SHIT HONESTLY. THE GOVERNMENT IS NOT GOING TO GIVE YOU 40 ACRES AND A MULE. LET THAT SHIT GO! AND DEFINITELY DON'T THINK THAT BARACK OBAMA IS GONNA GIVE YOU A HANDOUT, BECAUSE HE'S THE PRESIDENT EITHER. HE'S ONLY OPENING THE DOOR FOR OPPORTUNITY, IT'S UP TO YA ASS TO GO THROUGH IT. If you don't want to, you'll forever be stuck playing catch-up while the rest of world is still moving at a steady pace. Living with "Handout Mentality" is not a good look.
