The Concept of Being Lesbian

Hello ladies and gents. I usually don't get much on people's sexuality and what not, because to each his/her own, right? Well, there's something that puzzles the hell out of me when it comes to women being lesbians.

Okay, now I'm sure those with common sense and some sort of education knows that the premise of being a lesbian involves two women being together on an intimate and sexual level. Now, with that said, WHAT THE FUCK IS REALLY GOING ON WITH WOMEN THESE DAYS WHOM ARE LESBIANS?! I don't know if it's just me, but I think they are recruiting women by the droves harder than the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines put together on a good day. Shit, if they see a chick with low self-esteem, they jumpin on it. They see a woman whom is extra bitter when it comes to a man, they jumpin on it. I think they are worse than men who think that women are only good for food, sex and silence. I digress.

Also, what's up with women that are lesbian and dating chicks that are considered 'dikes' or 'studs'? If being lesbian means two women, then why the hell is one woman feminine in her appearance dating the other woman who looks like a guy in just about every way imaginable? If that's the case, wouldn't the 'lipstick lesbian' just stick with a man and call it a day? I'm sayin!

Now, I'm not knocking anybody's preference or the fact that they choose the lesbian lifestyle. But I honestly believe that if a woman swings that way, they would at least stick with the conventional concept of being with a woman that is comparable to her in appearance. I just see things with lesbian women that are so ass backwards, and it puzzles the hell out of me to think how these women function in a relationship that from the start seems weird as hell.

I can see if a woman wanted to "experiment" just to see what it feels like being in a sexual experience with a woman, okay fine. But when you got women whom are 'straddling the fence' between both men and women, first word I can think of is CONFUSED. That's right, confused. There are just some things in life that are in black & white, no gray area. This type of thing should be no different. If you like men, like men. If you like women, like women. I know for me, ain't no way I could be lesbian, because (to say this bluntly) there's way too much dick in the world to wanna go the other way. The only difference between being lesbian and heterosexual is one person has the real thing (penis) and the other gotta wear a strap-on. Ain't no strap-on gonna do what a penis does for me sexually. Sorry....

If a lesbian happens to get offended by this post, oh well. That only means to me that she is doing the very shit I'm talking about, and never stopped to figure out the dynamics of why she's messing with another lesbian who dresses like a man. At the end of the day, SHE'S NOT SCREWING NO MAN. SHE'S NOT FEELING A PENIS, SHE FEELS A STRAP-ON OR JUST GETTING ATE OUT ON A CONSTANT BASIS.

Like I stated earlier, to each his/her own, but when you do what you, at least understand the premise or concept of what it is you are getting into. Otherwise, you are just as confused as I am, and I'm straight! LOL.

Until next post,

Peace & Blessings,

Untouched Jewel

I really don't see being bi as being confused. I believe you can be attracted to both men and women.

i don't really think being bi means you're confused.
but then i do see where you're coming from.

Like I personaly I wouldnt call myself bi because although I do like women, i would never actually want to build a relationship with another woman. But those women who are ready to call themselves bi, they are ready to do that no mater what sex her partner is.

I wrote a post called "Ellen" (look through my archives) in which I described dating a young lady who later confessed to me that she was a lesbian. I left my keys in her apartment after spending the night with her (I didn't believe her) and I went back to get my keys..I caught her and another young lady I knew butt
naked on the living room floor, kissing and well...you know..

Anyhow, long story short...Both of them are married to men and have children now. That was 20 years ago..Was it youthful exploration?
Coulda been...Sexuality is a many splendid thang.

Great Post. I'm loving your blog more and more.

I'm getting ready to add you to my blog roll.

So yeah you again to hit the nail on the head with this post. But this is one of those things that just boggles the mind. I know a few females that have jumped ship to women only to find out that the grass isn't greener on the other side.

But to each its own. People are going to do what they want to do anyway.

I'ono Jewel, I think the only person who could understand a woman through and through would be a woman. However, I don't get the role switch thing myself. But then again I kinda give props to people who go against the grain as far as societal standards.

But even in saying that, I've come to realize that there are just somethings that I'll never understand because I'm no psychologist. Some people like switching up roles, and some people like getting peed on...*shrugs*
