Hello all. As we all know that 2009 is approaching, and of course many of us will be making New Year's resolutions and what not.
For me personally, I've never made those for these reasons below:
1. NOBODY sticks to them
2. Too many promises are made that are gonna be broken
3. Too many outrageous and unfulfillable expectations are thrown in the mix
4. A whole lot of chunky asses runnin around after vowing to lose so many pounds for the new year
Ladies and gentlemen... Do yourselves a favor and STOP THE MADNESS!!! You knew ya ass wasn't gonna lose no damn weight fooling with Hagen-Dasz, Ben & Jerry's, and any other major label ice cream known to man. And to those that have a tendency to procrastinate (including myself): DON'T MAKE CRAZY EXPECTATIONS AND PROMISES YOU DON'T INTEND TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH UNTIL YOU HAVE A CONCRETE PLAN AND HAVE THE WILL POWER TO STICK WITH IT.
I've always thought that resolutions were a bunch of crap anyway. I have to be like Nike and "Just do it". No saying one thing end up doing nothing, No psyching myself out to try and do something I know I need to accomplish. I just do it, and somewhere along the line "wing it" as I go along. I've noticed that a good percentage of the time that truly works for me, depending on the situation. LOL.
So for those of you that are for-sure making resolutions this year, don't procrastinate, follow through with what you have in mind. Even if it takes my "just do it" approach, then so be it! You might get results that way. Now, I may have to do a disclaimer on this one:
DISCLAIMER: Due to bad results on the "just do it" approach for New Year's resolutions, Untouched Jewel is in no way responsible for what happens to you. Untouched Jewel is not claiming that this approach works for everybody. If you feel that this is the method you should try, please proceed with caution and good luck with whatever happens afterward.
Ok, now with that out of the way, I pray that everyone whom reads this post will have a wonderful, prosperous and truly blessed New Year. May it bring things for those whom are in a fix on the upswing, and continuing to thrive thereafter. May the New Year also bring peace in a time of war, love in a time of hate, and happiness in a time of sadness and grief.
I love you one and all.
Peace and Blessings,
Untouched Jewel
p.s.: I will still be writing posts after this one. This isn't a farewell post. LOL.

LOL you are so right about the resolutions. I think it's just the thing to do sometimes. I don't really do it though. I know that in the end I'm gonna do what I wanna do and what makes me feel good. lol
