Rant #1

Hello ladies and gents. Since this is my first blog rant. I will just get straight to it.

I'm glad that my following is building up. So far I have 9 people following my blog. Just wanna say I thank you and appreciate you taking the time out of your hectic, crazy, cool, Lord knows what kind of day to stop and read my crazy blog. I thank each and every one of you.

Of course lately everybody has been feeling the crunch of the economy at one point in time or another. I just had to be one of them. I went from getting paid weekly, to just a check a month. I mean, I don't want to seem ungrateful about my financial state, because that's better than 0 dollars. Anyway, so when bills and things came up, I had to take care of business. Y'all know bills don't stop when finances come to a screeching hault. But when it got down to whatever I had left to feed my children, buy gifts, and manage to stretch what I got left till the next month, that's where I got stressed out.

Now I know many of us have had parents and grandparents who knew how to make a dollar out of 10 cents and still manage to do it all effortlessly. I will just say this: us young women in this day in age don't know shit about sacrifice the way our mothers and grandmothers knew it. Once they had a hustle, they worked it (regardless of how many children they had) and managed to stay afloat. All I know is, somehow I was able to pull it off and God was able to do the rest.

**NOTE: I'm not sure how many non-believers of God are here as bloggers, but for those of you who do, I know y'all know how God can step in at the 11th hour and make things work just fine to take the stress off your mind.**

Ok, back to our normally scheduled post. LOL. As I was saying, I was mad stressed out. One day I had to sit my oldest son down and explain to him that due to the nature of my situation being unemployed at the present time, there may be some things that he may not receive under the tree, but for the things he does get, appreciate them and be grateful for them. Just like a friend told me: "Tough times don't last long". I stand firm to that statement. Although it looks like I may not see a light at the end of the tunnel just yet, doesn't mean that the light isn't there to guide me forward.

I just hope 2009 brings change for me as with everyone else. A new president is coming in soon, and hopefully he can make all the world a difference by helping this economy get back on its feet and creating more jobs, because it's hard out here for everybody. It's not about life being hard for the high school dropout, or the single mother who got knocked up at 15. If you aren't wealthy like Donald Trump, your ass is in knee-deep in shit high water. I hope that cliche' made sense to y'all. LOL.

Well ladies and gents, I hope to have something more worth talking about before the end of the year. Take care and God bless.

Peace and Blessings,
Untouched Jewel

There are still good people in this world who will step in when you don't even see it coming. I've experienced this first hand a couple days ago.
