Of course Super Bowl Sunday will be here and in full effect tomorrow, so I'm rooting for the Pittsburgh Steelers to beat the brakes off of the Green Bay Packers. (ha ha) Enough with that. Moving along.
As my sister would say, in other "celeb-whore-ty" (lol) news, good ole Gilbert Arenas of the Washington Wizards is being made a fool of. His long term baby mama/trick groupie done filed CHSUP (child support for the street challenged) on him, and peep this...he was served the papers while he was doing his job...playing ball. SMH. Ladies and gents, what I can't seem to understand is how these athletes in the NBA and NFL practically put themselves in the trick bag sleeping with groupie hoes knowing their cooda is only worth as much as a wet food stamp on the black market, cause they done slept with err-one else. What I really don't get is how these players see each other in one form of fashion or the other (be it the field or a party, etc.), and still not know just the week prior they were at somebody's party at a club or house and was doin the horizontal dance in the sheets with that person. Ummm...I guess they really didn't learn from Magic Johnson's mistake, did they?
And another work of Tom Foolery is Gilbert's baby mama's sister, you know...the one that was on Basketball Wives. Yeah, her. She done had Matt Barnes locked up for a supposed domestic violence dispute between the two. Here's how foolish she looks by doing interviews with the press: THIS CHICK IS GOIN AROUND TALKIN ABOUT THE NEIGHBORS WERE ALL IN THEIR BUSINESS THE REASON THE COPS SHOWED UP. Here's where I'm about to bust her lie clear out the water. According to the 9-1-1 tapes, SHE WAS THE ONE THAT CALLED! So where did the neighbors come into play? Then, when the cops did show up, they said they saw scratches on Matt Barnes' neck. What I clearly don't understand is how he gets arrested, but that broad's family is bailing him out of jail...things that make you go HMMMM.....Understand what I'm sayin?!
When will these athletes learn anything in Love & Relationships 101? I remember a scene in 'Love & Basketball' where Debbie Morgan (the one who played Omar Epps' mother in the movie) made this statement and it could never ring truer than ever: "You need to watch these fast a** girls out here, cause when they see you, they see dollar signs!" COMPLETE EMPHASIS ON THAT STATEMENT! Don't think all these chicks that come flocking to y'all are really there for you. Had they known you from the beginning when you had nothing but lent to rub together, they wouldn't have given you the time of day. Groupies will lie their way into some man's wallet til they can't see straight, and when they done depleted you of your possessions and worth, they bounce faster than roaches when the lights come on. See, groupies are getting slicker by the day, using turkey basters and condoms with leftover sperm in it, and well...you fill in the blanks from there. That's their way of getting a guaranteed "meal ticket" to more secure income...THE ATHLETE'S MONEY.
All I'm saying to those in the NBA and NFL, you might want to consider some options to keep from gettin got. How about a Vasectomy? Abstinence perhaps? Hey, it would save you wasting you and your lawyers time and money by coming up with morals clauses, prenups and contractual agreements. Better yet, just start using some sense and see people for who they are. If they have that user quality to them, ditch em! Oooh, better yet: DO BACKGROUND CHECKS, and I mean thorough ones, too! Get to networking with your fellow athletes with other teams and see what they know on a chick. If you got to get your P.I. on, then by all means get to researchin! Spare yourself the hassle of being taken to the cleaners in the long run.
