I'm sure there are those of you who watch reality TV like a guilty pleasure. For me, it isn't, but I do watch it for the entertainment purpose it is intended for, and also pick it apart like a psychologist of some sort. But I did watch the entire season of Basketball Wives: LA as well as both parts of the reunion special. I know there are a big consensus of people who believe Jackie Christie (Doug Christie's wife) started a whole lot of shit on that show with the other women. I beg to differ, and I will explain my position shortly. I think these women on the show were being fake, phony, scurred (lol) and quite two-faced.
Now here's my position on the whole thing regarding Jackie Christie. Many believe she's a shit starter. From what was portrayed on camera, yes it looked shady. But NO ONE KNOWS the real scoop of what was going on behind the scenes. That I can and do understand. But, when the shit hit the fan in Hawaii and Imani started talking to Laura, that's when everybody else decided to come to the consensus that Jackie was the "common denominator" in all the problems the girls had with each other. Now, to me it all boiled down to is the fact that these girls were talking about each other behind each other's back, yet no one had balls enough to fess up. So guess who's the one to bring it all on the table? JACKIE. I clearly saw what was going, because my older sister went through a similar situation as a teenager. She was on a dance team at her church, and they performed in The Bahamas. So you got these group of teenage girls, and some are talking about each other behind their backs, and of course alot of it is said to my sister, so she sees the fake fuckery going on, and is tired of it. So when all the girls are in the same room together, my sister took the liberty of bringing all the foolishness on the table and telling what one girl said about the other. So when the dust settled, they decided to make my sister the outcast of the group for the simple fact that she put all bullshit to the forefront. Same scenario being seen here with Jackie Christie and the rest of the cast mates.
Now sure enough these ladies aren't teenagers, but they damn sure act their shoe size. LOL. Here's where I gotta defend Mrs. Christie (emphasis on MRS., cause she is a wife and not a jump-off, baby mama or homewrecker). She saw the fuckery that was goin on amongst the ladies--Laura and Gloria Govan being the ringleaders of this chaos. What the other ladies fail to realize is that because Jackie has been in this lifestyle as a basketball wife for 16 years, she's knowing far more about them on a personal front than they think she does, and it scares them to fathom to one day think she may air their dirty laundry. So in order for that to keep from happening, they wanna make her the outcast and over talk her, make her look stupid, make her look like she's starting shit that had long been started but resurfaced.
What makes me sick is how these ladies wanna sit up and criticize everyone else, but act like they are all so perfect? Really? Let me start on Miss Laura Govan: this bitch been shacked up with Gilbert Arenas for 9 years, got 4 kids and still ain't married the dude? This hoe is real delusional. I don't know if she was sniffing glue or high on crack, but if she constantly was gettin kicked out the house on a regular basis as well as dumped back in Virginia when he was traded to Orlando...bitch, get a life! Oh, and let's not forget the fact she banged Shaq for 5 years til she got caught. Can we say gold diggin hoe?!
Draya: this poor baby is young and still got her life to figure out. And hanging with this old ass kid acting chicks who start shit, is not conducive to her social well-being. I'm sorry Draya, stick with the "real" friends you had before meeting these broads.
Malaysia: who this bitch think she foolin?! She ain't nothin but a bougie video hoe from Compton. Bitch, you from the damn hood. Not sayin you gotta act ghetto, but c'mon honey! She's two-faced. And she's one step up from a stripper pole anyway.
Imani: this confused bitch couldn't navigate her dumb ass brain out of a paper bag if she tried. Oh...shall I mention how much of a gold digger she is? Why, yes I shall. When she was supposed to marry Stephen Jackson (of the San Antonio Spurs), she got dumped at the altar for not signing the prenup he sprung on her among other revelations that came about. She lied about the number of children she had. She told him she only had one from a previous relationship on top of the daughter she had with him. Truth: SHE HAD TWO. Imani had another son who is 14 yrs old that she dropped off on his daddy and ditched him trying to chase after Stephen. And she had the balls to call Draya worthless?! Then....she even lied about her age. When she was about to marry Stephen, she told him she was 27...the bitch was 34, which now makes her currently 40. Ummmm...cougar! Oh, and a habitual liar. No bueno, hun. I mean, Jackie had to hook Imani up on a date, cause the hoe can't hook a man if she was the bait on a damn fish hook. SUPER GOLD DIGGER.
Gloria, Gloria, Gloria: SHE A TRICK ASS BITCH OF THE WORST KIND. See, she's the kind of hoe that will make it look like she's so damn innocent and that everything in her world is so cookie-cutter perfect. She's a liar, manipulator and a FELON. Yep I said it....felon. This bitch got caught in a cash-for-grades scandal at a college in Northern Cali with 34 other people that could have garnered her a grip of jail time. This bitch did the typical snitch move...sang like the Harlem Boys Choir to receive no jail time. She know she woulda been Bertha's bottom bitch in cell block 9. LOL. And of course...she hooked up with Matt Barnes *rolls my eyes*. Been with this poor unsuspect
All I'm gonna say is this, and I'm sure there's gonna be some people who will disagree, but it is what it is. A lot of people think Jackie Christie is off her rocker when it comes to the stuff that had unfolded. But let's take a look at the bigger picture. Out of all the girls in this "circle", Jackie holds all the cards. Why? It's simple: she's lived this basketball life for a long time, and trust and believe there's nothing far and few between that doesn't get past her. She's alot like Tami Roman in a sense. Tami may have been married to her ex husband for a short period of time, but trust and believe NOT A DAMN THING got past her that she didn't have knowledge of. It's these kind of women like Jackie and Tami that other women in the league need to befriend, because they can give sound advice to help half these broads hooked up with league men avoid the gold diggers, jump offs and baby mamas that they may somehow encounter. It's also these same women you need not piss off...THEY KNOW FAR TOO MUCH...whether if they want to or not. I can commend Jackie for being who she is...A TRUE BASKETBALL WIFE. I can't speak for the rest of them bird ass bitches. They just need to get their acts together and stop the bullshit with themselves and each other. Do you Jackie! You don't need these young dumb hoes to validate you or anything you do or have been doing. Live out your life drama free.
